the root of nowadays` consumerism is the boredom of our well-rationalized working society. most people try to satisfy their needs by buying more and more, but of course fail, because our needs are more than just material ones, because we have to overcome the inner emptiness caused by our work life: we want to communicate, we want to socialize, we want to feel ourselves intensively and we want to come as close as possible to others to feel them, too. so, the basic strategy to break out ouf the circle of consume and dissatisfaction is to become active, to become creative, to communicate, to set up something, whether it is art, literature, music or a good meal to invite your friends at – just do it intensely enough and you will never feel boredom again which makes you resistent towards the mentioned consumer lifestyle. try to live an interesting life!
